Jill Lekstutis,
founder & principal

Jill has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Primarily focused on the development and repositioning of properties, she has overseen over $1 billion of capital expenditures. With a degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, she has worked in the boutique/lifestyle hotel segment of the market, as well as with all of the major brands.

At RED Hospitality, Jill brings that experience and expertise to a range of investors and owners, leading development activities for them and/or providing advisory services.

Prior to founding RED Hospitality, Jill served as the Senior Vice President of Design & Construction at Highgate for over 10 years. She got her start in the industry with on-property experience, in a variety of capacities, at The Bryant Park Hotel, followed by work on the development of the original Hotel Gansevoort, in NYC’s Meatpacking District.

Colleen Matthews,
Managing director

At RED Hospitality, Colleen manages the strategic planning and execution of development projects for a variety of investors and owners. In addition to facilitating the consultant selection process, she assists with building and maintaining project schedules and budgets and ensures adherence to project standards.

Prior to joining RED Hospitality Consulting, Colleen was a member of the Design and Construction team at Highgate, where she worked alongside owners, designers, and architects.

Colleen oversees a number of active projects from conception through close-out, including ground-up developments, adaptive reuse projects, and full-scale renovations of both branded and unbranded assets.

Colleen is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Leah altheim,
coordinator

Leah is a recent graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. She graduated with a minor in Real Estate with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Design.

Prior to joining RED Hospitality Consulting, Leah was a Real Estate Development Analyst at the Stronach Group, an entertainment and real estate company. As a member of the team, she worked alongside the associates, architects and designers to redevelop casinos, racetracks and shopping centers throughout the United States. She enjoyed being able to apply her hospitality knowledge to the planning of these experiential development projects.

At RED Hospitality, Leah will assist with the tracking and management of consultant deliverables and facilitating the coordination of all project team members.

Allison Faktor,
Associate

Allison (Ally) joined RED Hospitality Consulting to assist in all aspects of the strategic planning and development process. 

Prior to joining RED Hospitality Consulting, Ally was an associate at Clearview Hotel Capital, a hotel private equity firm. At Clearview she focused on the portfolio’s renovation activities, which involved coordinating with designers, architects, contractors, and property teams. Her renovation experience includes full-service and limited-service hotels, branded and independent assets, and resorts with multiple F&B outlets, pools, and golf courses. She also worked on hotel acquisitions and asset management. 

Before Clearview, Ally worked at Lowe Enterprises Investors, now known as Broadshore Capital Partners.  

Ally graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration with a minor in Real Estate. 

Grace maniace,
coordinator

At RED Hospitality Consulting, Grace supports active projects by facilitating communication among all stakeholders, tracking project tasks and managing the coordination of consultant teams.

Prior to joining RED Hospitality, she worked in food and beverage for Salt Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Sage Hospitality Group. Through her restaurant operations experience, Grace developed a keen appreciation for the importance of thoughtful planning and design throughout all aspects of the properties she worked at, which ultimately sparked her interest in the development side of the industry.

Grace is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, where she served on the Board of Directors for Hotel Ezra Cornell and was President of The Grid, Cornell’s hospitality design club.
